hi han! never been to mekong river but I did the city tour and hey it was 9 years ago pa. All I could remember is that-- Saigon is SWARMING with motorcycles! At walang traffic light ha! Lipad talaga kaluluwa ko nun hehehe.. The food is great and the war museum of course. Gosh yun lang maalala ko hehe. Nawala na ang ibang memories ko dun -- epekto ng anesthesia when i gave birth hehehe. Have fun

in 3 days i'll be attending a seminar and sad to say i only have 500 pesos in my pocket. i'll be staying there for 2 days and the pay day will be at the end of the month...i'm a bit confused if i'll open my bear bank already...huhuhuhuhuhu....i still don't feel like opening it but i think i don't have any choice.

ymalcs: you actually don't have to "allocate" "patuka" for your manok bank! At the end of each day, just sort out your coins and pick out some (I usually get all) 5 peso and 10 peso coins. Kung meron lang, if wala, sorry ang baboy/pig/bear. You wont even notice when the bank gets full.

I totally agree that you can't really be assured of a job even if you are an honor graduate of UP (or other schools for that matter...) From the story, I think her being a UPLB graduate got into her head and she thought that would pave the way for her.

The only problem is MMK did not even do any fact-checking with UPLB.

I also come from UPLB and when you look at the success of its alumni, most of them did not even graduate with honors. At the end of the day its EQ not IQ which can take you places....

Well, a lot of people are saying that the story is real -- of course ABS-CBN had to exaggerate a bit (I wonder which parts they exaggerated the most?) for TV drama use.

If it is true, maybe UP grads have to face the truth that being "from UP" (even summa cum laude!) doesn't make us immune to unemployment. Read: wag mayabang! hehehe
