Anyone reading this ever been to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh,Vietnam?)
I am scheduled for a business trip from May 10-15 and I am thinking of staying an extra 1-2 days so I can see the place.
I would really really appreciate recommendations :-) plus cheap hotel accommodations (company only shoulders May 10 up to evening of May 14, and I don't want to stay there because they usually pick expensive hotels..)
Cu Chi Tunnel Adventure Tour or Mekong River Adventure Tour or just a City Tour? But I heard Saigon is just like Manila.

I'm thinking of doing an adventure tour the whole of Friday and go see the city on Saturday morning. But flights on Saturdays are so early - so I'm having second thoughts... I don't think I want to stay up to Sunday especially if I am alone :P I hate crossing streets and I heard Saigon's streets are worse than Manila streets!

hi han! never been to mekong river but I did the city tour and hey it was 9 years ago pa. All I could remember is that-- Saigon is SWARMING with motorcycles! At walang traffic light ha! Lipad talaga kaluluwa ko nun hehehe.. The food is great and the war museum of course. Gosh yun lang maalala ko hehe. Nawala na ang ibang memories ko dun -- epekto ng anesthesia when i gave birth hehehe. Have fun there. sana kung gusto mo talaga ng adventure, go to Cambodia. hehehe.. Di lang ako masyado familiar how long yun from vietnam but my friend will have that trip by last quarter pa kaya mas mauna ka pa magkwento sa akin kung kumusta na ang vietnam ngaun hehehe.. INgat sis. have fun there!
