Flying with Style - Elite Lounge

Make that "waiting" with style. Since I just waited but still flew economy class hehehe.

I am currently in a coffee shop in CDO for internet access. The hotel we're staying at doesn't have WiFi :-( . Mallberry Suites was fully booked but let me tell you I love that hotel :-) The one we're staying at sucks. I don't have high standards so this one is really bad :-(

Back to waiting in style... the consultant I'm traveling with is a Mabuhay Miles Premier Elite member (is that what it's actually called?). He's allowed to bring in another person to the VIP lounge. Winner! Being rich and well-travelled has its perks. It might not be a big deal for some people, but it was a sweet time for me.

It was setup like a small restaurant with a sandwich and salad bar. They had free flowing coffee, tea, soda and a selection of juices. There were massage chairs and desktop PCs and WiFi access.

The thing was... the atmosphere was too "tense" for me! People must be expected to act refined or "businesslike" Funny, I ran into a friend there who travels a lot because of his job. He says food never changes , and because of the business atmosphere - you have nothing to do but open your laptop and "pretend" to be a workaholic. Hehe.

It was a cute experience! AND... I saw MANNY PACQUIAO with wife Jinky. He was a pleasant person. If only I had a camera with me! By the time I decided that I'll settle for an autograph -- their flight was being called already. Darn. I had to control myself lest I get kicked out of the Elite Lounge - with the rich people shouting "Impostor! Impostor!"
