Year Starter :-)

So... I went back to work! To a desk full of Christmas gifts which I didn't expect. I had a leather journal from a bank client and a couple more from officemates. I particularly loved a set of handmade soaps (cinnamon, watermelon and olive), the "spice up your life" bundle with small bottles of Pinoy spices like paminta, asin, laurel, atcheute, etc.., and a really gorgeous rose petal incense burner. I also got a nice charm bracelet, a coffee mug, a box of instant coffee, a long faux pearl necklace that can be used as an ID string, a bookmark, and a can of local chocolates.

The top gift was a certificate from www.coolearth.org that says my boss and his family sponsored an acre of a rainforest in our names. I love the concept, plus that we get proof that it really is protected in our names (at least in the office's name) .

Looks like I still have a job! I've shifted to normal work mode already (squeezing in blogging after lunch hehe) and I feel the year-start crunch coming in already. I already explained that I might need time off again if ever I go into surgery and my boss says: "Absolutely understood!"

So... now I can really say HAPPY new year everyone :-) I still got the job!
